Climate change and human alteration of river hydrology has greatly changed the thermal landscape for juvenile salmonids in Pacific rivers. Fresno State Faculty lead, organized and conducted a workshop of relevant experts to revise and update thermal tolerances of inland salmonids to better manage for future resource conditions.
The group comprised experts on juvenile salmon ecology, physiology, simulation modeling, and adaptive (genetic) thermal tolerances. These diverse subdisciplines can (or should) be integrated into bioenergetics models.
